Baker County
Madison is the Watershed Restoration Coordinator for the Powder Basin Watershed Council. Madison grew up in the Willamette Valley where she developed a deep love for the outdoors exploring the misty forests of the Cascades and Coast Range. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Oregon State University where she studied environmental science and specialized in environmental water resources. From working with various watershed councils to federal agencies, Madison has diverse experience working with streams, fish, soils, beavers, wildfire, and people. Madison is passionate about engaging people with their watersheds and finding collaborative solutions to local natural resource issues which benefit both people and the environment.

Union County
Carmen has over ten years of experience working in the fields of aquatic ecology and fisheries, mostly in Eastern Oregon and Northern California. Born and raised in southwest Michigan, Carmen has spent much of her life around water (mostly lakes). She has worked for various agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Arcata Field Office, and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. She received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Western Michigan University and M.S. in Biological Sciences in Michigan Tech University where she studied the associates between an invasive aquatic plant and fish and macroinvertebrate communities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Wallowa County
Ian lives in Wallowa County, where he has owned and operated an outdoor store called Wallowa Outdoors in Enterprise as well as worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Nez Perce Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and now the Grande Ronde Model Watershed. Ian earned a bachelor’s degree in Fish and Wildlife Science from Oregon State University in 2015 and an associate’s degree in Forestry from Central Oregon Community College in 1998. He has extensive experience working in natural resources and education along with his well-established roots in Wallowa County. Ian and his wife recently took over a portion of the family farm where they have been living and already have started making plans for how to improve the fish habitat along the property’s one-mile stretch of the Wallowa River.
